Frequently asked questions
How many hours of wedding day
coverage do I need?
For getting ready photos, ceremony pictures, family photos, bride and groom shots, reception, and a sending off, I recommend 8 hours (sometimes I stay over but that usually isn't necessary). The getting ready shots may not seem important, but I PROMISE when you are looking back on your day you will absolutely cherish them!
How many photos can I expect from my wedding day?
A good rule of thumb for wedding photography is to expect about 50-100 photos per hour. I snap anywhere from 2000-4000 photos of your day, but a lot of those are repetitive so I won't deliver all of them. You will get a minimum of 350 photos from an 8 hour day, but could receive close to 1000!
Are bridal portraits necessary?
This one is totally up to you! The benefits of having a bridal session include: the ability to have a beautiful bridal canvas set up during the reception, the chance to have a trial run with hair and makeup, and the opportunity to wear your dress and shoes and make sure the fitting is correct and everything is 100% how you want it! You also receive a minimum of 30 photos from the location of your choice from one of my bridal sessions, whereas if we just do photos after the wedding we may be limited on location, time, and the weather.
